Sonnets
White Rose
The white rose hath no beauty that divine
Nor an odor that floats through green pastures
To pluck a single one and call it mine
Would perhaps bring my greatest disaster
But the temptation is all that I see
To do all I can to claim it my own
Will be the only way to set me free
But even so the truth still stays unknown
Yet still I search for the perfect flower
And pray that I am no longer alone
With it I will hold all of the power
And together we will be strong as stone
But alas I know that is not my fate
For a flower that hides, I will not wait
A Modern White Rose
Nothing holds true love
Or a scent that soothes all
To find one of my own
Will only bring about pain
But the idea consumes me
And I want nothing more than that
For it will be my awakening
Even if it still stays hidden
But still I search for love
In hopes I am no longer alone
With love I’ll be unstoppable
And together nothing will hurt us
But I know that it doesn’t exist
And I will not wait for love
